Ashleigh Emmerson and I were both raised in Zimbabwe and share a deep passion to see transformation not only in Zimbabwe, but across Africa. At the core of her desire for transformation lies justice, good governance, authentic opportunity and sustainable development for people and communities. Ashleigh has a unique approach to people and their development, defining individuals by their resources rather than by their need and drawing them in to leading the engagement in opportunities that impact their circumstances. She believes that people are key to their own development and that people can themselves, with practical and relevant frameworks for applying their resource and growing their opportunity, be the creators of their desired solutions and futures. Ashleigh is a breath of fresh air in the world of development.
