"When it comes to the privilege of relating with any individual, community or environment, it is vital to recognize that we are always the learners.  Only when we honour and relate in the context of that learning, are we effectively able to see potential move to opportunity and opportunity move to realities that engage and enhance resources to sustain those individuals, communities and environments."

Founder, Ashleigh Emmerson

Red Earth Ventures was born out of Ashleigh Emmerson's passion for hearing peoples stories and walking journeys with individuals and communities as they recognize and resource their potential.   As a Zimbabwean, born and raised, she is particularly passionate about seeing third world nations and those struggling with poverty have primary voice in bringing direction to their own struggles and development.  Ashleigh started her development career in the United Kingdom where she engaged in malaria research and development, and logistical management of international clinical trials.  She is now based in the United States where she has worked to address issues of urban poverty with struggling individuals and communities, educational institutions, federal and state government entities, multi-sector business and NGO's.   Her global experience has only increased her hope for her home continent of Africa and her desire to participate in reconciliation and just investment in her own and other nations.

Ashleigh now leads Red Earth Venture work as Principal, engaging relevant partnerships and additional subject expertise where required.  She continues to build a strong  track record in helping individuals and communities, from a growing number of nations, frame and implement business and development ideas that truly represent their own vision and growth potential.  Ashleigh brings global experience with the unique ability to navigate the nuances of local work.   The result is "outside-the-box" thinking that is firmly grounded in practical development and implementation that fosters successful, innovative and sustainable results.

She brings experience with major international funding bodies and collaborative partners.  These include the US Department of Labor, State of Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth, the National Institutes for Health, Food and Drug Administration, European Union, Medical Research Council, The Wellcome Trust and World Health Organization.
